Hi friends! I’m Marissa Curtis, the face behind Whimsical Wedding Planning.

If there’s one thing people often say about me, it’s that I’m bubbly, passionate, and quirky! I love bringing a sense of fun and joy to the wedding planning process, helping couples feel relaxed and excited along the way.

My passion for weddings began while planning my own. It was such a magical experience, and ever since, I’ve been dedicated to sharing that same joy with others! If you’re curious, you can even see a glimpse of my own wedding in the photo above, captured beautifully by Julie Carla Photography.

Chris, the guy I married in the photo above, is also my assistant! He comes with me to every wedding, and together we make a great team both at home and on wedding days!

Outside of weddings, I bring a strong background in organization and problem solving. I spent nine years working as an Educational Assistant with a focus on supporting teens with autism spectrum disorder, along with experience as a behaviour interventionist. Both roles required creativity, patience, and organizational skills, all of which I now bring into wedding planning. I completed my Bachelor of Psychology in 2022, graduated in 2023, and launched Whimsical Wedding Planning that same year.

Now in my second year of business, I’m excited to continue growing while keeping my services approachable! In the spirit of being upfront, I offer my packages at a discounted rate as I build my reputation. My goal is to become the go-to planner for couples who want their wedding to feel full of personality, whimsy, and a true reflection of their love story!
